Making the Bravosi Bones

For the love of DIY

Bravosi Bones are a currency made specifically for Game of Bones. The coins (made from wood glue, milie meel and spray paint) are used  as prizes for games and to pay for answers in class. We play a 30minute session of Game of Bones in each practical session, as a form of gamified retrieval practice. Groups are awarded Bravosi Bones depending on their performance. The coins are also useful in class. When a student answers a question correctly, they are awarded a coin. If they, in turn, want to ask a question during the practical parts of the session, they have to pay a coin.
